ROHAN BOPANNA is a professional Indian tennis player. He reached his career high singles rankings in febuary 2006, when he reached the 230th position in the ATP rankings. Later, after making it to the doubles finals of Kingfisher Airlines Open in Mumbai, he and partner Mustafa Ghouse reached the 107th spot in the ATP Doubles ranking. However, the duo lost to Mahesh Bhupit and Mario Ancic.
In mid-2007 Bopanna teamed up with Pakistani player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. Nicknamed the ‘Indo-Pak Express’, they went on to win four Challenger titles in a row together. They even reached the final of the Kingfisher Airlines Open in Mumbai, but, once against, Bopanna and his partner fell at the last hurdle to Robert Lindstedt and Karkko Nieminen.
In 2008, Bopanna won his first ATP doubles title in Los Angeles with Eric Butorac, where they beat Travis Parrott and Dusan Vemic.
The 30-year-old reached the quarterfinals of a slam for the first time in his career at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, partnered once again by Qureshi. The 2010 US Open once again saw him pairing up with Qureshi. They managed to reach the finals, but lost there to bob and Mike Bryan.
