Considered a pioneer in the Indian fashion industry, designer Ritu Beri hails from New Delhi. Coming from New Delhi. Coming from army background, she studied fashion arts at NIFT ( National Institute of Fashion Technology), where she now serves on the board of Governors.

From an early age, Beri was interested in creating in creating and styling clothes and looks. A Protégé of the French embroidery maestro Francois Lesage, she is the first Indian designer to showcase her work in Paris. Later, she showcased her creations across the world. Beri’s eponymous label retails from high-end stores across countries. She has dressed up the likes of Bill Clinton, former First Lady of Egypt Suzanne Mubarak, Prince Charles of England, Hollywood stars such as Nicole Kidman and Andie MacDowell, and Indian actors such as Akshay Kumar, Hema Malini, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta and Raveena Tandon. Beri is also the recipient of the prestigious French honor, Chevaliere des art et des Lettres award.
