WALTER ELIAS has played a very important role in the life of most children for the last three generations. Better known to the world as Walt Disney, he was the man behind the famous Walt Disney Productions.
The American film producer, director and animator is responsible for bringing to life the much-loved character Mickey Mouse. Born Walter Elias Disney, he took an interest in animation before he was 20 years old. His cartoons, known as Newman Laugh-O-Grams, were very popular in the Kansas City area. After that, he soon opened his own studio, called Laugh-O-Grams Studio.
Along with his brother Roy O. Disney, Walt opened Walt Disney Productions. At first they concentrated on shorter features, but Walt wanted to make an animated feature film – Snow White. Due to a shortage of funds, Production of the movie faced some disruptions, but eventually went on to become the highest grossing film of 1938.
